Addi Road Food Pantry
The Little BIG Foundation
At Pick A Tree we want to give back, and support charities that resinates with its
community by donating tree sale profits.
When we first started tree sales we opened it up to the local community to decide where the funds would go. Addi Road Food Pantry in Marrickville & Camperdown was chosen.
Since the start of the tree sales we've been extremely fortunate to have the support of Sarah and the team at The Little BIG Foundation and as of 2024, the donations will be split between both charities.
Addi Road Food Pantry
Addison Road Community Organisation is a dynamic grassroots charity that manages a unique heritage site on the lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora nation in Sydney’s Inner West. They spearhead a rights-based approach to community development in the arts and culture, environment and social justice.
Their Addi Road Food Relief Hub and Addi Road Food Pantries in Marrickville and Camperdown are providing food to more than 8,000 people per week and diverting more than 25 tonnes of food from going to landfill every month. They rely on the commitment of hundreds of dedicated volunteers and generous donors to rescue food, fight hunger and stand in solidarity with diverse communities in times of need.
The Summer Hill Little BIG House
Australia’s loneliness epidemic is coming to a tipping point. Nearly half of Australians don’t have neighbours they can call on for help. We are lonely at work and working from home more. We are withdrawing from community groups and participating less in civic activities.
The Little BIG Foundation is on a mission to inspire a true sense of belonging in communities by creating opportunities for neighbours to get to know each other better through places, programs and events that encourage social connection.
